Saint Columbanus


Roved around Europe in the sixth century founding monasteries.
Although he largely used other means of transportation, 
he is now known as the patron saint of motorcyclists.

Too late; he was what he was. Really.
I don't understand how these saints become saints of modern contrivances. It boggles.
